So it turns out that sometimes my two loves, mathematics and soccer, come together to make me happy. This time it was Keith Devlin talking about the mathematics of what color jersey I should wear to better stop penalty kicks. I love World Cup season, the one time every four years that everyone in the USA admits that soccer exists and the media is forced to create a bunch of random soccer stories.

So I took a trip to LA today for the wonderful and amazing MaxFun 8hr Marathon show and the best part was that I totally got to talk to the wonderful Dave Shumka, or Shums as I now call him. This is us palling around in our navy blazers.
